you know what, this kind of attitude really pisses me off
it doesn't all come down to gearscore at all!
but gear is a part of it for sure
there are also things like dedication. For example we regularly have people who have to respec in raids...sometimes we have a priest spec shadow, warriors go from fury to tank pretty often...and when we were doing BWL / AQ40 on a regular basis mages would respec from frost to fire in every raid...yet here you are, with a spec that's not viable at all (except for lulz)...with 0 experience on this server and 0 flexibility...the only reason why I wanted to see you in a raid was to laugh at the damage meters because a prot warr would probably be above you. and what would you do then? would you respec holy if we showed you how crap your dps is?
you just digned 60, this means a few things...you have to do runs of UBRS/Strat/Scholo etc to gear yourself up for AQ20 and ZG...and then MC/BWL...our guild mostly does naxx/aq40...we occasionally squeeze in a BWL run if everything else is cleared...so all the 5 mans and 20 mans you are pretty much at the mercy of PUGs...ask yourself do you really want to be in a guild which has 0 time to help you run through all these places?
the fact that you just dinged 60 means you have to get yourself a mount, then farm AD honored, CH/nozdormu exalted etc. It means you have to do endless ZG runs for idol enchants. Not to mention the many consumables that are required for each raid. It means we need to dedicate one entire naxx raid to kill specific trashmobs for your t3 quest. Oh and btw...it also means having more than 5k hp on certain fights if you want to survive...actually not just survive...if you die on anub you are a liability that can wipe the entire raid because your corpse will spawn spiders.
Now think about this whole thing for a minute...would it be better off for you to join a guild that has just started clearing MC/BWL? A guild where you can actually gear up alongside other people instead of just being a burden?
I guess I just wanted us to prove it to the guy how bad his choice is...it's a shame because he actually took some time and wrote a really good apply...and trials with more than half a brain are rare these days
I'm only saying this because he's acting like one here and in almost every other apply. I got no beef with people giving opinions on applys (I do this frequently as well) but he's acting here like his word is final which it shouldn't be. at least have the decency to tell people who apply to wait for the CL to give the final word or something similar.
IMO we need crotch because he's a good talker...nukle isn't...and it's gonna take a lot of talking and coordination to get things just right...
as far as tanks go ...fair enough, I thought we needed t3 tanks for a try...and if they don't really hit hard then for sure I'm always up for giving it a try...I just don't think we can get a good solid raid for it overall. When was the last time we killed loatheb or gothik? We have a ton of new people in the guild right now who still need to learn a lot of stuff
without crotch and without at least a few of our more experienced members coming back I don't see us trying 4h anytime soon...hate to kill the mood here but I think we need to focus on getting our naxx raids back to the point where they were a few months ago...do we even have 4 tanks with good gear?
well the main problem when we tried them I think was the fact that the auras just got applied to the entire raid...of course hp was also an issue...I still doubt the encounter has been fixed
hmm, sorry but your gear is way too weak for a naxx raiding guild...and we don't really have a huge shortage of mages atm...and we have a few in our guild that need to get geared up too...since we rarely do bwl and since your gear is not good enough to enter naxx we can't really use you
Xelthion will give you a final verdict of course but so far it's -1 from me

all the skill in the world won't save your ass on anub or thadd if you don't have enough gear to carry you through the fight...and no amount of mana pots will help you to keep casting fireballs on patchwerk...you can't enter MC if you're level 40 and in the same way you can't raid naxx with blues
Mage: Obviously ignite was up for a long time as it should be, I tested some other stuff as well...detect magic goes off right away, same with counterspell, frostbolt, blast wave and cone of cold...sadly no mage specced winters chill so we didn't give that one a test, IMO I think it should have the same prio as scorch does...scorch is also fine btw, stayed up there long
fire gear isn't needed at all, get rid of ringo's boots as they are pretty much useless in naxx, just get bloodvine as it will help you get some more hit...you need 10% hit from gear and 6% from talents
also get rid of the frost enchant on gloves, you need fire
otherwise I guess it's solid gear...or maybe I'm just glad that you're not another bloodvine geared mage xD
fair point...so my next question is...can you get more than 5k hp?...some of us have 6k for loatheb and it makes the difference between a kill and a wipe
T1 is really bad and overall your gear needs a lot of improvement...the problem is that nowdays we pretty much only raid naxx so getting you any other gear is gonna be a problem...I'd say -1 because of gear but then again your application is solid...it's up to the officers anyway
