I disagree with this "the gear is a demonstration of progress not of skill" well with the gear u have atm your dmg will be equal to tanks dmg it doesn't matter what "skills" u have so u are useless .

I see we are getting bogged down by the gear / class change issue, if that is the case please consider my Rogue who is better geared (though not very well geared).

tWe won't take any rogue since our rogue slots are pretty much full.

About the gear stuff: The fact that you'r playing this game so long should prove yourself that gear and enchants are one of the primary factor to raid. Even if skill and player abilities weight by far more, getting at least preraid bis and some enchants are a absolut base to enter a naxx guild. Your player skills wont push you up to the damage meters since you lack at least 3+ tiers of gear. We always had pregeared mages whithin our raids and I can tell you that no one can actually beat top 15 since they lack on hit, sp and crit.

At the end we're not asking you to farm T2 to raid with us, we just want to see some dedication from players which want to prove themself as raider.

As Mizoo said, rogues are full and mages don't look any better.

However, if you do decide to be serious on the mage the reputation/naxx issue is the first you have to sort out. At most it should take about a week, time in wich you would gather up most of the missing pre-raid pieces as well.
Once you sort out AT LEAST these things feel free to whisper me in-game and we'll take it from there
