About You

• Who are you? My name is Aaron.

• Where are you from? England.

• How old are you? 21

• What are your usual playing hours? Anywhere from 1 to 8 hours a day. I typically have a flexible schedule where I can easily prioritise things as I see fit.

Character Details

• Character Name: Emeralz

• Character Class: Priest

Character Talent Spec: 21/30 - Predominantly holy, going down disc for the spirit buff. Typical raid healing spec with buff improvements.

• Gear:

3/8 tier 2 with the rest being a mix of items more or less on the same ilevel as T1. Feel free to inspect me in-game when you have time.

Stats particularly exclusive to my class's role;

730 +healing (add about +100 more if taking talents into account)
34mp5
339 spirit self buffed

I am fully enchanted and always apply librams when possible before I'm able to get the ZG one.

I have farmed maraudon in the past for the NR gear and tried some silithus quests only to find half the good stuff was bugged. Can't remember whether or not I'll need NR as a caster but I've done some farming for the sake of it.

Here is a screenshot of my UI + consumables I tend to keep on me between raids.

• What professions have you selected for this character and why?
I chose alchemy and herbalism to ease the hassle of raid preparation. Recently however, I've chosen to ditch herbalism in favor of enchanting, seeing as I already have herbalism capped on an alt. Saves redundancy in favor of other bonuses (disenchanting). I have yet to properly level the profession though.

I am maxed on first aid.

Communication

• Can you speak and understand English to a good level? Naturally, given where I'm from; yes.

• Can you use TeamSpeak and are you able to speak when required? Yes.

Raid Details

• Are you comfortable with loot council? I welcome it. While I have had bad experiences in the past concerning this style of handling loot, I know how to differentiate between the factors which would lead up to such experiences.

I've read your guild's advertisement post on the Feenix forum only to find myself in agreement with your principles and ambitions as a guild. Having said that; I would not have a problem with loot being directed by nothing more than logical means for the sake of guild progression.

• Mc / Bwl pre-quests? Both attuned.

• Previous raiding experience and details: During retail's vanilla, my guild ended up disbanding due to drama related issues before we could begin C'thun trash. Basically though, I had seen all the content, save for Ouro, C'thun, Viscidus and Naxx.

I can't say I've raided much throughout the expansions, save for a few PUGs here and there. I'd been more interested in PvP, particularly during TBC's runthrough. I was more of a laid back kind of player at the time, and played casually to about 2100 in 3v3 as feral/mage/priest in s3 and 2200+ 2v2 as dreamstate/rogue (fotm but no pve gear) in s4 rating with in a couple of seasons. Nothing bragworthy but may as well fill in some background.

• Raid attendence - You know the raid times and the raid days. Do you have any problem making these? No problem. They're exactly the same as my previous guild's schedule, of which I maintained pretty solid attendance over the course of two months.

- Are you an adult in control of your own playtime or is it dictated for you? Will anything cause you to quit early/afk/cancel the pre-organised event at a moments notice with 39 other people from all over the world who put time aside to spend it with you?
I've never been known for this kind of unreliability in the past (during my time here anyway). Obviously, as human beings in the environments we're placed in, we can't always guarantee consistency in every sense/form. As far as the point of the question goes, however; no, I will not have any trouble meeting this requirement. I am an adult who is easily in control of his playtime.

• Are you comfortable with the fact that you may not always have a raid spot? While I am confident in my ability to maintain optimal raid attendance, I understand the need for proper class compositions, player priorities or any other reason the guild might have in mind for such a decision. Yes.

• Are you willing to download/use all the necessary addons that are requied to raid with us? Yes, they have their justified purposes.

Final Exit

• What were your former guilds and why did you leave them? Praeda, Eccentric.

Praeda started off with a strong core that dispersed overtime for numerous reasons. I found myself becoming somewhat frustrated towards the standards of the guild towards the end of my time there. As your other question about playtime control points out; there are 40 people in a raid.

When tolerance in the sense of player effort isn't properly catered to in a guild environment, you'll naturally get a lot of slacking going on which can be hard to pinpoint. I wouldn't have been too bothered about such a laid back atmosphere in the past. After so long, however, you get annoyed at the idea of devoting effort into your character to the point where you could classify its role's output as optimal, and having about 50%, if not more of the raid not being enchanted or potted up in a progress raid to oppose that.

Eccentric was the answer to this, where a friend of mine in charge of it hoped to create a more stable environment where we'd actually get things done. People showed a lack of interest and left prematurely, combined with server bugs on our first MC run before we could get a proper raid going.
I am tired of it all. I cannot speak for these guilds (praeda in particular) accurately at this point; I do not wish to bash them, nor do I know their specifics at this point since I left a while ago. I'm just answering the question.

I've wanted to progress consistently in a guild throughout all content on this server ever since I joined it 2 months ago, so I tried to avoid applying to the higher end guilds who were already progress capped. At this point though, I'm just tired of getting stuck in circles where content exceeds the average guild member's capability, so there ends up being no progress > core members start leaving > slacking newcomers join and a circle of nothingness is created.

• What would you bring to Final Exit as a guild? As I've pointed out in previous applications, or at least made hint of; I prefer to harness a logical style of thinking, as compared to falling back on instinct. In other words, I will not be the bringer of drama, but be one to understand raid encounters effectively, while doing what I can to ensure my performance, given my role, is optimal for what I should be capable of.
Ever since I rerolled from horde to alliance on this server with PVE in mind, I'd been making a good amount of effort to gear myself up. I had spent roughly 1000 gold's worth on enchants on the 5man BiS gear I'd attained (+20 spirit on weapon, +24 healing on bracer, librams). Effort is one of those conditions you need present for consistency in progression, and I understand that.

Admittedly, I'd never played a priest before my time on this server, but I'm easily familiar with the concepts exclusive to the role of healing.
Mana conservation, downranking, 5 second rule, healing rotations... you know, the basic fundamentals of raiding exclusive to such a role.
As far as I'm concerned, vanilla's playstyles are not difficult to fathom given how few talents and spells there are. As part of my way of looking things however, I welcome any constructive critism to my playstyle, style of gearing, or any other factor you might question.

I've always made it to the rank you'd maybe equivalate to core member in the guilds I've been in so far, provided they weren't laughably structured. I stick around; I think it shows now that I haven't had any 40man gear improvements for over a month now.

• What would you expect from Final Exit as a guild? As usual, the trickiest question of a template. There are things I could say that could be interpreted as transparent, which I honestly wouldn't blame you for.

I'm looking for a community which shows evidence of numerous factors that would satisfy my own preferences when it comes to playing this game for what it is, of course. I'd be more than happy to play with people that possess an understanding of their character to the extent necessary for what you'd maybe call a good player. Not only that, but I appreciate the players who put some work into their character, as compared to being carried for loot.

As with the past, I won't deny that I seek PVE progression within a guild. You guys are obviously capped out in this sense, but as we know; the server has more content in the works which I'd be more than happy to traverse in this guild. Lastly, and perhaps the more common answer is that I seek a friendly atmosphere where each player is respected equally. Seeing as you guys use a loot council, I am not going to criticise anyone for what the nature of that brings. As long as I know I'm contributing/part of a guild that is capable of progression, it is not something that will haunt me.

I don't expect people to be slaves to this game, but rather just have some sense of ambition past the point where it could be classed as laughable effort.

I'm aware that my application probably leads some to the assumption that I'm heavily analytical and serious natured, but please; don't be intimidated. I like to think of myself as one of the more playful/friendly personalities you'd perhaps come across, provided the ice is broken at first =P. I just don't enjoy static progression as a result of incompetence in some shape or form, which is partly why I'm impressed with you guys. I'm sick of getting stuck in a BWL progression paradox, so here I am.

I understand you're currently closed on priests, but seeing as you suggested people apply anyway if they feel they're exceptional, I thought there's no harm in trying.

Here are a couple of screens of my old main during TBC. The druid I played through most of vanilla's pve content basically. I know my keybinds were horrible :3.

Me and Edrial decided to apply to this guild given our situation. He is a very skilled and dedicated druid who I think would be beneficial to the guild, inicase I don't manage to get in.

Thanks.

Hey, nice application.

I like that you actually informed yourself about us on the feenix forum. +1 for that

That's the curse of private Server. It happend to us aswell, also to other high end raiding guilds on this server.

So, you totally got my vote (even when we are kinda full on priests, but like you read it on the advertisment, we are always lookin for exceptional player)

Now it's up to Fio to decide, but i say: skip the testraid and invite him. :P

Greets, Clay.

Everyday another idiot trying to corrupt ppls mind by saying Retf*ckheaddin is viable DPS in raids makes me mad.
SOMAD.
My advise for all the Retpaladins out here: Log out, deinstall your vanilla World of Warcraft and go play Hello Kitty Island.
